# Renew a store

> Plans never renew by themselves. How renewing works, when you can renew, and what happens to your store and its data.

A plan lasts **one year** and **never renews automatically** — you are never charged without choosing to pay.

## When you can renew

The **Renew — ₹…** button appears on your [dashboard](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/account-billing/your-dashboard) once the store's plan has **expired**. While the store is active, the dashboard shows the **days left** instead.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> When the plan's end date arrives, the store goes offline — storefront **and** admin panel — until you renew. Customers see *Your subscription has expired*. Note the **Renews/Expires** date in your calendar, and renew promptly on the day.

## Renew step by step

1. Sign in to your [store account](https://www.nijees.in/account/login).
2. On your dashboard, find the store marked **Expired** and select **Renew — ₹…**.
3. Pay on PhonePe's checkout — see [Pay for your plan](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/getting-started/pay-for-your-plan).
4. The store comes back online straight away, for a **new year starting today**.

Renewing uses the **same plan**. To move to a higher plan, renew first and then [upgrade](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/account-billing/upgrade-your-plan).

## What renewing keeps

Everything: products, orders, customers, pages, settings, payment methods, domain and SSL. The store simply opens again exactly as it was.

## Common questions

### Why can't I renew early?
Renewal opens when the year has ended. If you would like to pay before your plan ends — for example to fit your accounting year — [contact support](https://www.nijeesweb.com/contact?topic=billing).

### My store went offline. Is my data gone?
No. Nothing is deleted when a plan expires. See [When a store expires](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/account-billing/expired-store).
