Prices are set **per variant**, in the **Pricing** box inside each variant on the product form. You enter the MRP and, if you like, a discount; the selling price is worked out for you.

## The fields

| Field | What it is |
| --- | --- |
| **MRP** | The full price. Required, and must be more than zero. |
| **Discount** | **No discount**, **Percentage** (such as 20% off) or **Amount off** (such as ₹500 off). |
| **Value** | The percentage or amount. A percentage must be under 100; an amount must be less than the MRP. |
| **Selling price** | Worked out from the above — what the customer pays for the item. With a discount, your store shows the MRP struck through beside it. |

**Example:** MRP **2990**, Discount **Amount off**, Value **390** → Selling price **₹2,600**, shown on the store as *₹2,600* with *₹2,990* struck through.

## GST is added on top

> [!IMPORTANT]
> The price you enter is the price **before GST**. At checkout, GST at the product's rate (from **Tax** on the product form) is added to the cart as a separate **Tax** line, and the invoice splits it into CGST and SGST, or IGST.

So a ₹1,000 product with 18% GST costs the customer **₹1,180** plus delivery. If you want the customer to pay a round ₹1,000 including GST, enter **847.46** as the selling price (1,000 ÷ 1.18).

See [GST and taxes](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/shipping-tax/gst-and-taxes).

## Coupons on top of discounts

A product discount and a [coupon](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/marketing/coupons) can both apply: the coupon is worked out on the cart after product discounts.

## Prices in other currencies

If you sell in more than one currency (see [Currencies](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/payments/currencies)), the Pricing box has a row for each one:

- **Leave a currency's MRP blank** and its price is converted automatically from your default currency at the current exchange rate, then rounded. The row says *Converted automatically from …*.
- **Type an MRP** to set that currency's price yourself, with its own discount.
- *No exchange rate yet — set one under Currencies.* means the store does not know the rate yet; set it on the Currencies screen.

## Changing prices

Edit the product, change the pricing and select **Submit**. New prices apply straight away to new carts. Orders already placed keep the price the customer paid.

> [!TIP]
> Running a sale on many products at once? Mark them **Hot Deal** and show a *Hot Deals* products section on your home page — see [Labels, related products and FAQs](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/products/labels-related-and-faqs).
