> Create the shipment, book the courier (AWB), schedule pickup, print the label and manifest, and keep tracking up to date — from the order screen.

With Shiprocket connected, every order has a **Shiprocket** panel on its order screen. If you switched on the automation, most of it happens by itself; otherwise you do each step here.

## The steps

| Button | What it does | Order status after |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Create shipment** | Sends the order to Shiprocket with the customer's address, items, weight and size. | unchanged |
| **Assign AWB** | Books the courier and gets the **AWB** (tracking number). It is saved as the order's **Tracking Code**, with a tracking link for the customer. | unchanged |
| **Schedule pickup** | Asks the courier to collect the parcel. | **Shipped** |
| **Label** / **Open label** | The courier's shipping label to print and stick on the parcel. | — |
| **Manifest** / **Open manifest** | The hand-over sheet the courier signs at pickup. | — |
| **Refresh tracking** | Fetches the latest courier status. | follows the courier: **Shipped**, **Out for delivery**, **Delivered** |
| **Cancel shipment** | Cancels it at Shiprocket. | — |
| **Recreate shipment** | Creates it again — after changing the address or weight. | — |

Until the order is sent, the panel says *This order has not been pushed to Shiprocket yet* and names the courier it was quoted with at checkout — that courier is used when you create the shipment, so the customer ships with the partner they were charged for.

## A typical day

1. Open **Orders** and filter by **Status: Confirmed**.
2. For each order (or automatically): **Create shipment → Assign AWB → Schedule pickup**.
3. Print the **labels** — from each order, or many at once from the orders list with **Print labels**. See [Print and export](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/orders/print-and-export).
4. Hand the parcels to the courier with the **manifest**.
5. Later, select **Refresh tracking** on orders in transit to update their status.

## What the panel shows

**Courier**, **AWB**, **Shiprocket order** and **Shipment ID**, **Courier status**, **Pickup** date, **Expected delivery**, **Freight charged**, and **Weight (declared / applied)** — what you declared and what the courier billed.

## Tracking for customers

Once an AWB is assigned, the customer sees the **Tracking Code**, the **Tracking Link** and a **Track package** button on their order in *My Orders*. Delivery updates appear as you refresh tracking.

> [!NOTE]
> Tracking is refreshed when you select **Refresh tracking**, not continuously. Refresh orders in transit once a day so customers and your reports see the right status.

## When something fails

The panel shows Shiprocket's own error message — a missing pickup location, an unserviceable pincode, a low wallet balance, a wrong weight. Fix the cause and try the step again, or **Recreate shipment**. Common errors are explained in [Shipping and Shiprocket problems](https://www.nijeesweb.com/docs/ecommerce/troubleshooting/shipping-and-shiprocket).
