1. Who we are
NijeesWeb ("we", "us") is a website builder operated by NijeesWeb, India. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit www.nijeesweb.com, create an account, buy a plan or run a website with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
2. Two roles: our data and your visitors' data
For your account — the details you give us to sign up, pay and manage websites — we decide how the data is used, so we are its data fiduciary.
For your website's visitors — for example, the enquiries they send through a form on your site — you decide what to collect and why. We store and process that data only on your behalf, to run your website, as your data processor. You are responsible for telling your visitors how you use their data, typically through a privacy policy on your own website.
3. What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, optional phone number and a password (stored only as a one-way hash).
- Website set-up details — the website ID and domain you choose, your starting design, and the name, email and password (hashed) of your website's admin login.
- Payment records — the plan, amount, order reference and payment status. Payments are made on PhonePe's checkout; we never receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Messages — what you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in our server logs, used to keep the service secure and working.
- Your website's content — the text, images, videos, forms and settings you create, and the form enquiries your visitors send you.
4. How we use it
- To create and run your account and websites, and to take payment for plans, renewals and upgrades.
- To send you service messages — for example about payments, renewals or problems with your website.
- To answer your questions and give support.
- To keep the platform secure: preventing spam, abuse and unauthorised access.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your website's visitor data for our own purposes.
7. Where your data is stored
Your account and your websites are stored on servers in Mumbai, India. Some providers listed above (such as Google) may process limited data outside India; where they do, it is under safeguards consistent with the DPDP Act and any rules made under it.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. When a plan ends, your website's content is kept for a reasonable period so that you can renew without losing anything; after that it may be deleted. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period for security. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see below).
9. How we protect it
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. The admin areas are protected against cross-site request forgery, repeated sign-in attempts are limited, and uploaded files are checked so that only safe types are stored. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
10. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, where we no longer need it for the purpose it was collected or by law;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights for you;
- withdraw any consent you have given — without affecting what was done before.
Write to support@nijeesweb.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within the time the law allows.
11. Children
NijeesWeb accounts are for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Grievance Officer
If you have a concern about how your data is handled, contact our Grievance Officer at support@nijeesweb.com. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; for significant changes we will tell you by email or in your dashboard.
