Fonts
Choose your site font and heading font, set fonts per element, and load any other web font.
Good typography is most of what makes a website look professional. NijeesWeb gives you three levels of control.
1. The site font#
Settings › General Settings › Site Font Family — the font used across the site unless something else is chosen. Pick from the list.
2. Body and heading fonts in Theme#
Design › Theme › Typography sets the Body font and the Heading font, plus the Base size and Line height. Choose from the suggested fonts. See Theme.
3. A font for one element#
Headings, buttons, forms, blurbs and blog lists have their own Font Family in their Design tab, with Default Site Font as the first option.
Only the fonts you use are loaded#
Your website loads only the font families it actually uses. That keeps pages fast, so you don't have to worry about picking too many — but for a calm, premium look, two families are plenty: one for headings, one for text.
Hindi, Tamil and other scripts#
Phones and computers already include good fonts for Devanagari, Tamil, Bengali and other Indian scripts, and use them automatically for text in those languages. Your Latin-script font is used for English words alongside.
Any other web font#
With Settings › CSS & JS you can load any web font your licence allows — from Google Fonts or from your font provider — and apply it with CSS. See Custom CSS & JavaScript.
@import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Marcellus&display=swap');
h1, h2, h3 { font-family: 'Marcellus', Georgia, serif; }
Put the @import line at the very top of your CSS, before any other rule.
