Domain and SSL problems

My domain shows the old site, a parking page or nothing; "Not secure" warnings; www not working — every cause and fix.

Start by checking where your domain points: open dnschecker.org, enter your domain, choose A. You should see 13.202.27.61 in most locations. Then find your symptom below.

The old website or a parking page still shows#

  • DNS is still spreading. Changes usually take 15 minutes to a few hours, sometimes up to 48. Try a private browser window, or your phone on mobile data.
  • An old record is still there. At your registrar, make sure there is only one A record for @ and one for www, both 13.202.27.61, and no AAAA record for those names.
  • Your registrar uses a "forwarding" or "parking" feature. Turn it off — it overrides your records.
  • The nameservers point somewhere else. If your domain's nameservers belong to another company (Cloudflare, your old host), add the records there instead.

"There's no website at this address"#

Your domain points to NijeesWeb, but no website is set up with that exact domain. Check the domain on your dashboard's website card. If you typed it differently when setting up (a typo, or a different ending like .com instead of .in), contact support.

"Not secure" or a certificate warning#

The SSL certificate is issued automatically once your domain points to NijeesWeb — during the first two hours after your website is created.

  • If you pointed your domain within those two hours, give it a little longer and reload.
  • If you pointed your domain later, the certificate was not issued. Contact support with your domain and we will issue it.
  • Using Cloudflare? Set both records to DNS only (grey cloud) until the certificate is issued.

www works but the bare domain doesn't (or the other way round)#

You need both A records — @ and www — pointing to 13.202.27.61. Add the missing one.

My email stopped working#

Email uses MX records, which connecting a website never needs to change. If your email stopped, an MX record was probably deleted by accident while editing — restore it from your email provider's instructions.

It works for me but not for a customer#

Their network may still have the old address cached. It clears within a day. Ask them to try mobile data, or restart their router.
