Launch checklist

Twenty minutes of checks that turn a new website into a finished one — from your logo to Google Search Console.

Your website is live the moment it is created — but it is still showing the template's sample business. Work through this list before you share the address.

Make it yours#

  • Logo — Layout › Header Manager › Logo: your logo in the header. → Header
  • Favicon — Settings › General Settings: the small icon browsers show in the tab. → General settings
  • Company details — company name, address, phone, email. They appear in the header, footer and contact sections, and in the structured data Google reads.
  • Brand colours and fonts — Design › Theme. Change them once; every page follows. → Theme
  • Every page's words and pictures — open each page in Info Pages and replace the sample text and images. → The page builder
  • Menu — Layout › Menu Links: rename, remove or add items so they match your pages. → Menu links
  • Footer — Layout › Footer Builder: your address, opening hours, quick links and copyright line. → Footer
  • Social profiles — Layout › Social Links. → Social links

Make sure it works#

  • Send yourself a test message from your contact form, then check Forms › Form Enquiries. → Form enquiries
  • Look at every page on your phone. Fix anything cramped with the tablet and phone views in the builder. → Tablet & phone
  • Click every link and button in the menu, footer and pages.
  • Delete sample content you will not use — demo blog posts, gallery images, testimonials.
  • Check the padlock — your site should open at https:// with no warning. If not, see Domain & SSL.

Help people find you#

  • Site title and description — Settings › General Settings › Meta Title / Meta Description: what Google shows under your name. → Site-wide SEO
  • A title and description for each page — the SEO button on each page in Info Pages. → Page SEO
  • Google Search Console — verify your domain and submit your sitemap. → Search Console
  • Bing Webmaster Tools — this is also how ChatGPT search finds you. → Bing and AI search
  • Google Analytics — paste your measurement link to see visitors. → Google Analytics
  • Google Business Profile — add your new website address to your free business listing on Google Maps.

Be ready for visitors#

  • WhatsApp button — let visitors message you in one tap. → WhatsApp button
  • Cookie consent bar if you use analytics or advertising cookies. → Cookie consent
  • Spam protection on your forms. → Spam protection
  • A privacy page — if your forms collect names, emails or phone numbers, add a page explaining how you use them.
