Machine translation gives you a first draft of every page in one click. NijeesWeb connects to the service you choose, using your own account and key — you pay the service directly, usually little or nothing for a small website.

Choose a service#

Service Good to know
DeepL Excellent quality for European languages. Free keys end in :fx.
Google Cloud Translation The widest range, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Urdu. Needs an API key from Google Cloud.
Microsoft (Azure AI Translator) Also strong for Indian languages. Needs a key and a Region.
LibreTranslate Open source; use a hosted service with a key, or your own server address.

Connect it#

  1. Open Languages › Languages & Detection and scroll to Machine translation.
  2. Choose the Service.
  3. Paste your API key — stored encrypted and never shown again. For Microsoft, also the Region (such as centralindia); for LibreTranslate, the Server address.
  4. For DeepL, choose a Tone — Default, Formal or Informal — where the language supports it.
  5. Save, then select Test the connection.

To replace a key, type a new one. To remove it, tick Remove the saved key and save.

Use it#

Go to Languages › Translations and select Translate missing, or translate a single item. Machine translations are marked needs review until someone saves them. See Translate your content.

Text is sent as formatted HTML, so bold, links and lists keep their places in the translation.
