Free shipping

Offer free delivery everywhere, in chosen countries or on chosen pincodes — above an order value you set.

Updated 1 min read Markdown

Free delivery above an order value is one of the best ways to raise the average order. Your store's free-shipping rule has three parts: switch it on, where it applies, and above what amount.

1. Switch it on and choose where#

  1. Go to Settings → Shipping.
  2. Make sure Shipping: Charge for delivery is on (otherwise delivery is already free everywhere).
  3. Switch on Free Shipping: Offer free delivery.
  4. Choose Free Shipping Areas:
    • Everywhere — every delivery address.
    • Specific countries — pick the Countries. Deliveries there ship free once the order is over the threshold; pick none and free shipping never applies.
    • Specific pincodes — only pincodes ticked Free shipping under Configuration → Pincodes. See Delivery pincodes.
  5. Select Save changes.

2. Set the amount#

The threshold is an amount, so it lives with your other order limits: Currencies → your default currency → Configure → Order & COD limits → Free shipping above. (Settings has an Edit in INR button that takes you there.)

  • Enter 999 for free delivery on orders of ₹999 and above.
  • Leave it at 0 for free delivery on every order in the chosen area.

Other currencies convert the amount, or hold their own figure. See Order and COD limits.

What counts towards the threshold#

The order value is the items' total after coupon discounts and including GST — the amount before delivery. So a ₹900 item with 18% GST (₹1,062) qualifies for free shipping above ₹999.

With Shiprocket#

Free-shipping rules apply on top of Shiprocket's rates: when they are met, delivery is free whatever the courier charges. You still pay the courier.

Tell customers#

Say it where they will see it: a line in your header or a banner — Free delivery on orders above ₹999 — and on your shipping policy page.
