Checkout problems customers report
Delivery not available", no payment methods, out of stock, minimum order, COD not shown, coupons refused — what the customer sees and what to change.
When a customer says I can't order, the message they see tells you exactly what to change.
"Delivery not available to this pincode."#
The most common one. Unless Shiprocket prices your shipping, customers can only order for pincodes listed under Configuration → Pincodes — and a new store lists only four sample Delhi pincodes.
Fix: add or import the pincodes you deliver to. See Delivery pincodes.
With Shiprocket: no courier on your account serves that pincode (with your partner settings). Check it in the Rate tester, widen your Selection mode, or switch off Refuse orders to pincodes no courier serves.
No payment methods at checkout#
- No method is Live — check Payments. A new store has none.
- The rules hide it — the method's Currencies, Countries, Minimum / Maximum order value, or Who can use it (signed-in vs guests) exclude this customer.
- No payment method is available for payments in USD. Please choose another currency. — the customer's currency is charged in that currency and no live method accepts it. See Currencies.
Cash on delivery is missing#
- The order is outside the COD range: COD not available above ₹… / below ₹… — see Order and COD limits.
- The COD method is limited to signed-in customers and the customer is a guest.
"Cannot place order below ₹…" / "above ₹…"#
The cart is outside your Minimum or Maximum order value. See Order and COD limits.
"Some items are out of stock or exceed available quantity."#
A variant's stock is lower than the quantity in the cart, or the customer is over Max Quantity Per Product In An Order. Update the product's Stock Quantity, or the limit in Settings → Storefront.
Coupon refused#
Please log in to use coupons. — coupons need a signed-in customer. Other messages are explained in Coupons.
"Please fix the errors in the shipping address form."#
A required field is empty or invalid — usually the phone number, pincode or state. Ask the customer to check the fields marked in red.
"Order Could Not Be Placed"#
The customer landed on the failure page after paying online: the payment failed or was cancelled. The order stays Pending; they can try again. See Payment gateway errors.
Shipping was charged ₹0#
The cart's weight falls outside every weight slab — usually heavier than your last slab. Add a slab that covers it. See Shipping charges by weight.
